How to Build an Oval Arena in Minecraft

An oval arena needs a wider horizontal dimension than vertical dimension. Enter the width and height separately to control how stretched the final shape becomes.
A slightly stretched oval works for plazas and halls. A long oval is better for arenas, racetracks, pools, and large courtyards.
Preview the full block pattern
Use the grid preview to check the longest rows and columns before you start placing blocks. This helps you confirm the oval fits your available space.
Mark both center axes in Minecraft, build one quarter of the oval, then mirror it across the other sides.
Choose outline or filled mode
Outline mode works for arena walls, tracks, paths, and footprints. Filled mode works for floors, gardens, decorative areas, and platforms.
For large arenas, download the PNG blueprint and build in sections so row lengths stay accurate.
